I think you should wait a few years and see if your view on piercings changes. You could also try to use photoshop and see how you'd look with them.

    Goliath gives great advice.

I believe that making any sort of permanent (or relatively permanent) body modification (tattoo, piercing, etc) should not happen until one is in their 20s at least. I base that on talking to people in their later 20s and 30s who got piercings or tattoos when they were 15, 18, 20 and then... a few years later... decided that their "brilliant idea" of a few years prior was not so brilliant.

I'd be willing to wager that if you wait till you're 22, you'll suddenly no longer have the slightest desire to have that piercing, and you'll thank yourself for waiting.

I've seen Devildriver, Children of Bodom, Machine Head and and flippin' Opeth and I've still got enough gayness to know that piercing is a bad idea :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

In my opinion, I'd say no.

However, other people's opinions really shouldn't impact your decision. It's your decision first and foremost, and you're the one that will have to live with the piercing. If you can truthfully say that you will always love the piercing - then what's stopping you? If you have even an ounce of doubt that you might grow out of liking it, then wait a year or so, and if you still have interest, then get it.

The reasoning behind my opinion on no is the fact that that type of piercing will leave holes when you take it out, they won't heal over like ears. So if you ever grow out of them, you have to think if you want 2 holes in your chin.

Not true, Lad; I wouldn't mind a guy with one of those. Then again, I like metal as well.

However, Goliath is right; 15 is no time to start poking permanent holes in your anatomy. It is VERY likely that you won't like the idea when you are 20. Same goes for tattoos, though piercings don't have the issue of fading to blurs by the time you're 60 (which is why I think stylistic symbolic ones are better than drawings).

Also, lip piercings have high infection rates, and I can tell you that (no offense here) I've never known a 15 year old that can keep up with keeping those kinds of things clean. Believe me, a lip infection is disgusting looking.

Personally I dont like, but if you do get it. It is not permanent, you can always remove it if you dont like or somethings

Do it! I think it rocks and is totally sexy. The good thing about piercings is they are not permanent and can come out at any time.

A chin ring....tongue ring? sure. Earring? Of course. Hell even a lip ring is fine. But a chin ring that size? NO

My school apparently has a ban on anything except 'a single stud' so unless you can have a single chin stud (which im looking into) my chin will remain piercing free
