So my friends and i are making plans to go and get our harry potter tattoos together. I know the design of what I want, but I cant decide which quote to use! Help me out?
It depends on which quote i wind up picking. if i go with mischief managed I will have a pawprint of a rat, wolf, dog and deer. All the others it will probably be the quote with the deathly hallows symbol or something along those lines. im still in the brainstorming with a thousand ideas stage.
"Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus" (Latin for Never Poke A Sleeping Dragon) For a couple of reasons. 1. Dragons are cool. 2. Latin is frakking amazing. 3. Titillandus contains the word Tit ^_^
i would say the "it's real for us" "all was well" or "toujour pur" something that isn't super obviously from the series, that way you can tell people it's from an inspirational experience if you don't feel the same about harry potter in a few years. unless this is like henna or something, then i'd go for the dragon one.
Is this your first tattoo? If so, you should wait about 6 months and make sure you want it. If, after 6 months of choosing a design, you still want it, then go ahead. But you might find with enough thinking time you'll realize you don't want a harry potter quote etched on your body forever. That said, I'd go with the death one. It shows you don't fear death, and isn't necessarily linked to harry potter. (It's a great book, but I'm sure a lot of people are regretting Star Wars tattoos too...)
It's my 5th actually. My rule is that I wait a year before i get a tattoo, to make sure i really want it. And so a year later I still want a HP tattoo, its just a matter of designing one
thank god it isnt a twilight "And the lion laid down with the lamb" tattoo. I would have had to bash your skull in for that one.
The death one reminds me of Hook which I love and so that's my vote. And I also love Harry Potter. I've read the series over ten times through at least. And I'm reading it again this summer.
