    i think this is a really good idea. i've always loved degrassi. its more real then most of the shows out there

    I think it's great because in the LGBT we've dealt with Marco, a student who took his time but accepted being gay. Paige, who's bisexual. Riley who's the jock type gay, who had to deal with anger issues, steroids, and almost trying anti-gay therapy. I think it's just really good to finally try out inserting a Trans student. I'm pretty sure most shows have yet to try it out, so I feel really happy with Degrassi.

    degrassi brings all aspects of being a teenager and young adult to light and explore them and i think its really good and helpful

    Love the song so much. So catchy. But as you can see they are going to deal with relationship abuse, transgender, dieting (probably weight issues again, like Emma's anorexia), oh and there's apparently a LITTLE bit of incestuous kiss in the movie Degrassi Takes Manhattan which starts the season on Teennick at 9PM Monday, and I believe same for Much in Canada. Check local listings for details though...

    Isaw the movie yesterday twice and once today and I love it!!!!! There is an incestuous kiss and it adds depth to the characters

    I don't watch it anymore, but I used to all the time. I think that it's great to bring a trans character into such a popular show. About damn time if you ask me...

    Umm it's Degrassi....nuff said lol. I still love it though. And the gay thing was a bit more interesting in season 9 for Riley. He whined a little but more because he didn't want to be gay, he even went to conversion therapy to go straight then realized it was a scam. But seeing that type of pain was quite interesting...because with Marco he kinda accepted being gay and came out so easily. Riley's still in the closet to most people, is on the football team, and is worried about being outed.

    I watched the two hour movie/episode yesterday. The kiss between Declan and Fiona was crazy. In the end you can't help but feel bad for Fiona though. She's such a mess.

    And the whole trans teen thing sounds cool. I'm excited to see where the writes go with it.

    I think this is great. It's very rare to find transgendered characters on most popular shows, especially not semi-regular characters. Not to mention the fact that most of the trannies you DO see on tv are usually MtF, not FtM.

    I'm actually kind of tempted to start watching this show. xD

    Very true. Even Queer as Folk, as breaking as it was a show, had a MtF working in Debbie's diner. But far as I know...no FtM. Also, the first episode...and maybe second cuz the first several episodes are all two-parters premieres tonight at 9pm. It's about Fiona: so yay for more Fiona pity party lol. I seriously don't know whether to feel for her or hate her lol.

    wow they writers of this show are doing amazing I can't wait to see adam on the show degrassi is no joke. I love that they deal with serious things that teens go through and there not like other shows like passion or guiding light there making an impact on people which is great and I loved the movie it was great I didnt expect spinner and emma together but poor fiona wow I felt bad for her in the end.

    What does everyone think of the new season so far?? I'm starting to hate anya(idk how to spell her name. Lol) she's such a bitch for faking pregnancy. I also think Declan was a real ass to Fiona. She's still so messed up. =/

    Anya is more a bitch for betraying Holly J. and using this pregnancy thing to get back with sav. Hence the two faced girl. Well when all she did was cry wolf its hard to take her seriously, not really defending how he acted but just giving a reason

    I just am looking forward to Riley's story on Monday and Tuesday. I'm heading to a resort on Wednesday and will be losing TeenNick so I won't be able to see the Adam episode or anything like that...:frowning2:
