Alien Vs Predator and the sequel should not even be on this list >_> I haven't had the opportunity to see Predators yet, but I guess I'll have to go with Alien >_> I really love all of them though. Alien 3 is definitely the most misunderstood of the series ... its really freakin good. Alien Resurrection is silly, but still awesome >_>
Alien, because in space, no one can hear you scream. And you can't beat the suffocating levels of suspense and horror. It's my favorite one, though all the Alien movies are good in their own ways.
The Original Alien also had the best movie trailer ever made. It was scary and a total hook yet it didn't reveal anything to the viewer that would take away from the experience of watching the movie. I voted for Alien. I love every film in the series. Yes, even 3 and Resurrection! 3 is fuckin' sweet and 4 is silly fun. I don't know why the last two get so much hate. Oh yeah, and I fell asleep during the first 40 minutes of Alien vs. Predator... when I was 8. If an 8-year-old falls asleep during your action movie, then you're doing it WRONG.
People didn't like 3 because it came after Aliens, which was basically an action movie. I'd like to think of 3 as more horror/thriller, and people wanted more Aliens. This, coupled with the fact they killed off 2 characters from Aliens that had potential for more. Whatever, I respect their actions and I love the film. Plus Alien3 is directed by David Fincher, and he's fucking amazing. Plus Charles S Dutton is badass.
Of course, I'm the odd one and picked Predator 2. I love it. I've never seen any of the alien films(aside from AVP 1 and 2) and I don't really wanna see them. They just don't look interesting IMHO.
Wuhh.... Didn't I already have this argument. I swear I can see the future. This has happened like 4 times now where I think of something and then later something happens... I had this exact argument at the bar tonight. My personal pick is Aliens. The argument started out with Blade Runner and eventually led to Alien and then Aliens and then to James Cameron's best movie which is apparently Aliens followed by Terminator 2 followed by The Abyss. Now you know.
Aaaah that trailer was AMAZING. Spooky as HELL but yet really original and engaging. I just love that movie so much. :3
