The best song you've ever heard?

Discussion in 'Entertainment and Technology' started by AlexPatrickMorrissey, Aug 10, 2010.

  1. xD I know that this topic's title is nearly identical to the one about the worst song in the world.

And I know this is a RIDICULOUSLY hard question to answer, of course.

For mine, I choose my favourite song by my favourite band:

It also doubles as the best LGBT song ever. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:ride:

This is not the best song I've ever heard, but it is my favorite song at the moment.

It's the Scala and Kolacny Brother's cover of "Creep" by Radiohead. They used it in the trailer for The Social Network. Amazing.

Well obviously this is an impossible question to answer, so I'm instead going to put forward the song which is most important to me musically.

It's no exaggeration to say that this song completely changed the road i was on musically. Before, i was listening to pop-punk, which I now find completely awful :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: When i heard this song, over the space of about 3.5 minutes, I changed. I started wanting something completely different from music. Everything about the song was so exciting and fresh. And they remain my favourite band to this day

While I don't have much experience with music, these two songs are certainly some of the best I've heard. They are both masterpieces.

I have a pretty wide taste of music, but this song is one that'll always be my fav (and most people here probably wont even like it haha)
I found myself driving around the block 4 times when it came on the radio the other day just before I got home (even tho i have it on my ipod haha)

For some reason the bass is really bad on this upload.

Truly Madly Deeply is also up there (beautifulstranger posted it already). I love songs with meaning. Don't speak is rated high with me too.

This one is tough. I have some favorites from a few different styles of music. I guess I'll start with this one:

    and a bit of this:

add a touch of Chrono Cross:

and you get a half-arsed collection of some of the best songs I've ever heard.
