I've seen it! It's quite good, just following someone's experience as they start realising their gay identity in the eighties. It's not *brilliant* - I found the scene where he literally goes from being scared to being completely OK with everything in about five seconds quite comical! - but it's well worth a watch IMO.

It's very, very entertaining, different from your average gay film (as it's more of an autobiography), still cliche at times. Average, I would say. Average. Though I could have lived without the sex scenes. Juss sayin.

I found it to be a very sensitive and moving film. As Night Dude said, it's somewhat autobiographical, and also a little bit dated given the time period it takes place in, but still an excellent film.

Also, mildly amusing to note that the same writer/director who did that film also did "Another Gay Movie", which is a COMPLETELY different genre

Love this movie & Lea DeLaria is hilarious as the mentor. I just love her!

Plus for those who've seen the movie.

HA! That's hilarious, I'd never seen that before..

It's funny because during the final scene, I was actually thinking "duh!", after everything that goes on before
