♥Burlesque♥

I saw the bartender and I was like I WANNA WATCH THIS MOVIE. But then again, I'm a sucker for movies with singing. I'm super excited for this movie!

 

Being good friends with a bunch of burlesque performers, I can tell you they all dread this movie being released. They've all seen the trailer, and all said "So...THAT's what people are going to be expecting at our shows now? Huge musical numbers with fifty dancers to modern pop songs?"

I went and saw a couple of shows this year, it was fantastic.

nothing like what's in that trailer, though.

 

This is Hollywood, that's the thing >_> Of course it's not going to be reality -_-. As for the movie, I'm looking forward to it.

 

I am looking forward to seeing this movie. Since I'm a Christina Aguilera fan, I'm looking forward to seeing her in this. I like Cher, Stanley Tucci, and Kristin Bell also, so I think this is going to be good.

 

I didn't like him in Twilight. But dayummm when he put on that hat I fell in love.

soooo cannot wait... love xtina... me & a friend are all planned out to go see it immediately when it comes out. and i'm so excited for the soundtrack too.

 

It isn't elitism. It's the fact that they put a lot of themselves into this. They sure as hell aren't in it for the money (they all have day jobs) or even the glamour (if you can call it that). It's something they invest themselves in. They spends lots of hours and money designing their costumes and routines, and currently perform in front of modest but appreciative audiences. Their concern is that the audiences will soon be packed with people expecting large-scale Vegas-or-Glee-style revues, or worse yet, that people and venues are going to try booking them under the same misconception. And I think that's a valid concern. They don't object to the film on some vague "artistic" snobbery - they're just concerned how it'll effect this thing they've put so much of themselves into.

Who is he in Twilight again? I for some reason don't recognize him but dayum he is hot.

 

Oh James. lol. He looks SOOOO much hotter now then lol. His character in Burlesque is gay right? because he sure looks it.

 

I'm excited to see this movie. Looks cool.

 

This movie loooks like it's going to be fun! I cannot stop listening to this songgg!
