My friend posted this on FB in quotes, so he may have been quoting somebody else.

“Anybody that hasn’t managed to come up with a digitized version of the Beatles’ songs by now never liked the Beatles.”

I'm over the beatles. Late last year/early this year I was all into them, but I was so into them that eventually I got really sick of them. Now I rarely(if at all) listen to them.

Oh, and my niece and nephew have (I think) all their cds, so I already have them uploaded to my computer. lol This isn't exciting at all for me. >_>

My thoughts exactly. We had all sorts of avenues for obtaining their music (for free, might I add) before this that at this point, it doesn't surprise me that they haven't overtaken the more contemporary artists in the top-selling lists.

Wasn't this supposed to come out when they remastered the albums last year?

They've been arguing with apple since the itunes store launched and they only just agreed to let their music on itunes. So now people who have always felt that they realy should like the beatles can buy the albums quickly and people who allready have the cd's/ have badly copyed of their old records using dodgy usb turntables can quickly get album art without having to go to google.

I'm a big beatles fan bit I don't get why people think of their albums as the holy grail of music. There is better music out there. (The Velvet Underground and Nico > Revolver)

Not better. More "out there", certainly. More hip. But not better.

I don't think I could ever get over The Beatles. Sometimes listen to less of them for a while to try different things, but I do keep coming back to them. I already have the 12 albums, Live at BBC, Anthology 1 and the Love remix on my iPod.
