Heart's Version Celine Dion's Version (from the Taking Chances tour) Glee Version I've heard all 3 of these versions, but being a really big Celine Dion fan, I like hers better 'cuz she seems to bring more power and emotion to the song. And if you're wondering "why Glee Cast?", it's there 'cuz it was covered in the season 1 episode "The Rhodes Not Taken".
My loyalty lies with Celine, who is ultimately my favourite singer ever. The idea of Glee ruining this song makes me wanna cry...
The original, Heart, hands down. After listening to Glee's version, I'd say them and Celine are tied for this (because I've heard the recorded Celine version before) but in her video here, it sounds like her accent got even thicker, making it sound weird.
Celine Dion, hands down. I like Glee's version of having a guy/girl perspective, though. However, as for Heart's version, I rank it at the bottom. Why? Because while they sing it well, it just sounds like... well, it's being sung. I never feel emotion behind it. Celine's really is a master at song emotions, it's more like an experience than a song, which is part of the reason (I believe) she's so successful. She makes her songs sound meaningful.
Heart I'm a huge fan of oldies rock and tbe original version is just so amazing and beautiful to me and that girl can sing!
