    My picks would be:

    Best Film- Kings Speech
    Best Actor- Colin Firth
    Best Actress- Natalie Portman
    Best supporting actor- Christian Bale
    Best supporting actress- Amy Adams
    Best director- David Fincher

and Inception to win all the music and special effects ones. Social Network to win any editing/ cinematography awards.

Those would be my choices personally. Though I have to say this year is rediculous- too many good films and amazing performances to chose from!

I want The Fighter or True Grit to win but I think King's Speech will sweep the night.

The only one I've actually seen is Toy Story 3. :frowning2: I loved it though, so that counts for something. I am pulling for either Black Swan, The King's Speech, or The Kids are Alright. Most of the Oscar nominated movies are just now coming to theaters around here. I hate small town living.

The King's Speech was such an excellent movie, it would definitely be my pick. I thought Colin Firth was great in "A Single Man", but his performance in "The King's Speech" was just brilliant. I also have a crush on Helena Bonham Carter.

Even though I doubt it will happen, I would love if "Toy Story 3" won Best Picture. It was my favorite film from 2010. I would also be thrilled if "Black Swan" or "Inception" won, though. "The Social Network" was good, but overrated, in my opinion. I haven't seen the rest of the nominees. Also, Natalie Portman had better win Best Actress for "Black Swan."

I think Bening will upset. It's the kind of role I can just see being used by the Academy as a "career award", although I haven't seen the movie, so I have no idea if she deserves it or not.

It'll take neither Picture nor Original Screenplay. Actually, Black Swan should have been nominated in OS in its place, but the Academy had its balls in a vice to give a Picture nod to Inception, so they were forced to nominate it in at least one other major category for the Best Picture nom to seem legit.

I'm still voting Daft Punk for Best Soundtrack. I am SO, SO, SOOOOO Mad they didn't even get nominated. It's the worst!

But yea, Colin Firth, King Speech, pulling in all the big awards.
Social Network probobly getting best Director
    Editing: Black Swan.
    Sound/Special Effects: Inception
Actress: Girl from Kids Are All Right (I agree with a fav. critic of mine, MovieBob in that the Oscars love their gay politics)

I dunno...The Oscars are dumb this year. I'm mad at the acadamy.

Only if the character in question dies, though.
