Are there any good TV channels that cater to the LGBT community, please? I've only found OutTV here in Canada and it sucks! Mostly entertainment, travel, cooking and fashion type shows, mostly fluff and no content. It's the same old crap you see on other channels, but with gay people. I'm looking for information that is useful, like how to survive as a gay person in a hetrosexual world, sex advice, gay political issues and relationship help. The one OutTV show that I thought was going to discuss real issues allowed the guest to talk about their entertainment careers for 95% of the show. Has anyone found any good shows on OutTV worth watching? Are there any other TV channels available in Canada or the US? I thought there was one called Pride in Canada, but I can't get any info on it. We need an Oprah type show that talks about LGBT issues. Thanks.
I dont have cable, but i knwo there are soem gay channels here, that shows gay movies, music, songs, travels, news about GLBT comunities, imma try to ask my dad for that><
Yeah, LOGO's good, but I find it can sometimes cater more to an older generation of gay people...lots of travel shows...although they do have good news segments which pertain the the community. There's also always Bravo...though it's not officially gay (I don't think) and is mostly the same kind of fluff you're talking about. I like it though, almost all of the reality shows are quite good and much different from your typical Real World/American Idol type shows.
I used to watch Naked News Daily Male on OutTV, but it doesn't air anymore, so I don't watch that channell. Everything is just so... low budget and isn't really all that interesting. It's not that I want to see nudity, but I liked listening to NNDM.
Nickelodeon. And remember to have a search for TV Channels on the internet if they arent in your country or maybe there are some only internet channels.
CBS air some goods shows but i have a link for usa ppl that has a listing of all gay tv and what times ill will post it later. On CBS there a show called as the world turns pretty good show Luke and noah coming out story =) can watch most of it on youtube
We just got digital television. And apparently the basic package includes OutTv. It's basically MTV/TLC 'targeted' at LGBT peope. It's terrible. Sorry for the necro, but I didn't think this merrited a new thread.
