i would really like to read some more books or see some movies on the topic of lesbianism/bisexuality. if anybody has any recommendations for fiction, autobiography, plays, or anything, i'd really appreciate it. especially teenage characters/stories.

also, i would really love some recs of films whit lesbain characters/themes. a lesbian brokeback mountain maybe? :icon_wink

This isn't a book, but Buffy the Vampire Slayer has an amazing lesbian relationship in it. It starts around season 4.

Also there's Degrassi: The Next Generation which has the Paige and Alex storyline during season 5-7.

Not sure about books, haven't read any yet, but I've been trying.

    Movies:
    The Truth About Jane
    Lost and Delirious
    Imagine You and Me
    Gray Matters (slightly unrealistic)
Personal Best (supposed to be good, but I've never watched it, let me know if you find it online somewhere)
    Saving Face
    Red Doors
    What's Cooking (kinda funny)

    Out Status:
    A few people
    Movies: Loving Annabelle
    Debs
Clara's Summer (in french with subtitles, buts its definately good)
Tipping The Velvet (strictly speaking its a tv series but dont miss it)
Fingersmith (again its strictly a tv series but if you like Tipping the Velvet, you'll probably like this)

    Books: Empress Of The World
Rules For Hearts both by Sara Ryan and the 2nd follows on from the first
Girl Walking Backwards( kinda weird but worth a read) by Beth Williams
Hello, Groin ( I absolutely loved this book) by Beth Goobie
Deliver Us from Evie ( doesnt center on a lesbian/bisexual character but the events do) by M.E. Kerr
Good Moon Rising (really good) by Nancy Garden who wrote Annie on my mind which is a lesbian classic
    Geography Club
The Order Of The Poison Oak
Splitscreen all by Brent Hartinger. I first read Splitscreen even though its the last latest one in the series and I had so much fun reading it that I went back and read the others

They're my favourites, try them and see what you think

Okay so this is a tad late, but I'd look into everything written by Julie Anne Peters. She has 4 books about lesbian/bi girls, and another about an mtf. They're the best books I've ever read.

And if you're interested in fantasy, the latest Emelan book by Tamora Pierce tells that three of the main characters are lesbians. It's called Will of the Empress.

She Likes Girls (couple short films compiled onto one DVD)
    Better Than Chocolate
