Uhm... yeah, I have to agree: even though I find Girlfriend very catchy, I find the lyrics really disturbing and the video moreso. I liked Avril before this album but now? Not so much.

If you liked her second-to-last album, you might want to check out some of the albums by Chantal Kreviazuk, a Canadian singer/songwriter who co-wrote most of Avril's "Under My Skin" album.

I particularly like Kreviazuk's "What If It All Means Something" album (I think it's her second-to-last one).

 

I liked some of her old stuff, especially from her second album. Nobody's Home is one of my favorite songs of all time.

I've always disliked her music, simply because it has the MOST IRRITATINGLY ADDICTIVE quality to it. You know, where it's not even good and you hate it, but you can't get the damn thing out of your head?

She's not so bad. Shes doing her own thing. People DO change you know and as far as I know everybody has a right to. Would you like people to use something you said/did when you were 17 against you?
