"The Baby singer" is worded horribly and without correct quotes. xD

But this is quite righteous of him.

Wow... that's very admirable. I still don't like his music, but I think he's made the right choice.

I like this. Doesn't mean I'll listen to his stuff, though.

While a man of honour, in my opinion singer he is still not. at least until his musical volcabualry involve more words than "baby"

From all accounts, he's actually a nice guy and quite talented. His music has been the aural equivalent of cotton candy until now, but it won't be long until he tires of MouseEarRock and wants to start doing music with more heft. It'll be interesting to see what he comes up with then. Until then, no thanks.

OK, I will give him...half a respect point for that.

Still can't stand him though. Even if my views are prejudiced by society.

I will NEVER, EVER take back anything I said about his music, which, frankly, I think sucks.

For the people who do enjoy his work, though, he's doing a good thing here.

I can't judge him as a person because I don't go out of my way to get celebrity news nonsense.

I don't think he knows what can happen to him, since hes young, I think hes naive, but good luck!

Just because he's apparently doing something noble doesn't mean I take back anything I say about him. I'm still a better musician than him and I can sing 9001x better than him.

    Why not?
I don't Kamina is full of himself...
he could be a great singer and sing better than Bieber
Bieber has a beautiful and melodic R&B voice and he defenetly can sing
live but he hasn't a GREAT voice impossible to outshine
he's not Michael Jackson or the teen male version of Christina Aguilera,Mariah Carey or Beyonce...

I find his music insipid and intolerable. It's poorly thought-out (lyrically and musically) drivel always focused on the same subject. I have no respect for it. I also resent him for his success when extremely talented musicians (especially classical) have to struggle to make a living in many cases (the wretched tomfoolery of the unbearable Lang Lang being a notable exception). But I do respect him for choosing to go to Japan, even though I personally think it's kind of stupid to risk exposing yourself to life-threatening radiation. If he can do anything to help them recover, though, more power to him.

Whether or not one appreciates his musical talents, I personally have become more and more impressed by him over the past year. He's been very generous with his money, and with giving time to his fans, he's gotten behind several major initiatives, and, most recently prior to this, he made a HUGE public comment about bullying, bringing the kid in Australia that decked the bully that was taunting him up on stage, talking about bullying, and tweeting about why it's not ok.

Justin is the real deal. Everything I've heard is that he really is the person you see in interviews... polite, courteous, humble, thoughtful. The same can't be said for many other performers.

As far as his music... he has a platform, and I suspect that half of the reason a lot of his music is crap is because that's what the record companies and so forth know will sell.

He's taking his platform and using it to the best possible advantage. He is a talented multi-instrumentalist musician, and while his singing voice may not be the absolute best, he's done a lot with what he has.

And the thing with Japan is great. Clearly it's reasonably safe for him to go to Japan as long as he stays away from the high-risk areas, and it sounds like he's really committed to supporting the people there. I say more power to him.
