There seems to be a lot of threads about artist like Lady Gaga/Adam Lambert etc, so I thought I'd make a few about bands I actually like ;p. So, any Blondie fans out there? For some reason, they seemed to become associated with the gay community in the past, so I figured this would be a good place to start. I just like this one YouTube - Blondie - Heart of Glass And I really can't understand how to post youtube videos on this forum.
I know every word form parallel lines off by heart; my mum used to play it over and over and over when I was little.
I just got the album in the mail yesterday, actually . Their first album is still my favorite (at the moment), but Parallel Lines is really genius. ---------- Post added 18th May 2011 at 02:28 PM ----------
Lyrics (from memory, without listening or checking) Colour me your colour, baby Colour me your car Colour me your colour, darling I know who you are Come up off your colour chart I know where you're coming from Call me, on the line Call me, call me any, anytime Call me, in my life You can call me any day or night Call me. Cover me with kisses, baby Cover me with love Roll me in designer sheets I'll never get enough Emotions come, I don't know why Cover up love's alibi Call me, on the line Call me, call me any, anytime Call me, oh my love When you're ready we can share the wine Call me. Ooh, he speaks the languages of love Ooh, amore, chiamami (chiamami) Oo, appelle-moi mon cherie (appelle-moi) Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, anyway Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any day, anyway (key solo) Call me, my love Call me, call me any, anytime Call me, for a ride Call me, call me for some overtime Call me, my love Call me, call me in a sweet design Call me, call me for your lover's lover's alibi Call me, on the line Call me, call me any, anytime Call me. I can also do this with all the lyrics form 'Daydream Nation' by Sonic Youth, 'Rumors' by Fleetwood Mac and 'Funeral' by Arcade Fire. I'm nearly there with The Velvet Underground and Nico; I do know all of Sister Ray off by heart, and The Gift, but can't do the rest of White Light/White Heat without listening at the same time. I also know quite a lot of Ys by Joanna Newsom, but some of it gets quite wordy and I get confused by the ends of 'Only Skin' and 'Monkey and Bear'. ---------- Post added 18th May 2011 at 07:53 PM ---------- All this, and I can't remember important dates for my history A-Levels, sad times.
