Again, these threads seem to be filled with talk of Lady Gaga and bands in that vain. So, to spruce it up a bit, any Ramones fans? 3 Chord Punk heaven.

Hell yes. I'm guessing you listen to dead kennedys and misfits as well?

I'm not that familiar with the Dead Kennedy's actually. Misfits I love. I'm more into the first wave-NY Punk bands tho (Patti Smith Group/Television/Richard Hell/Blondie/etc).

Oddly enough, I don't have one. I enjoyed seeing them live more than listening to their records; and there aren't words to describe the Ramones live.

Not a huge fan of the Ramones but how about some old school garage punk flavor?

Not that The Stooges aren't One Of The Greatest Bands In the History of Mankind, but I'd have to say they are more proto-punk, or punk itself, rather than 60s garage music. But maybe that's splitting hairs....

Anyway, I was thinking something more along the lines of:

I will, however, respond directly to your Stooges challenge:

I love all of this stuff, just about the only person my age I know who does though. I came into school wearing a VU and Nico banana t-shirt one day and nobody recognized it except my English teacher and a Girl in my philosophy class whose Dad owned the album.

Don't worry; it was basically that way when I was growing up in the 80s, too. "WTF do you have a banana on your t-shirt for???" was a common reaction....lol
