    Whats your favorite horror movies?

I'm watching Hostel 2 at the moment and it's really good (although not finished yet). Haven't even gotten up to any murder scenes yet and its half way through. >_> Much like the original. And I really like that about the Hostel series, they put storyline above making you feel sick. But when they make you feel sick, they do a damn good job of it!

Other favorites I have is Friday The 13th which is an epic series, I just wished they put more thought into it before hand.

And of course, Saw. Alot of people complain about Saw but I just <3 it so much, they are re-using the exact same forumla over and over again so I understand why.

Hmmm, this one's a hard one for me, cos I rarely get frightened by movies, but so far the horror movies that Ive enjoyed are The Shining (Jack Nicholson version), Ghost Ship (simply for the montage of killing an entire boatload of ppl while listening to rock music), and that's really about it. I enjoyed Saw, but Im kinda bored of it now...any others that you recomend?

I need to see 1408 then!

In Hostel 2 *possible spoilers* the scene where the girl with the scythe and how she liked chicks blood on her was pretty crap, the blood just had a rain sound effect. >_> Could have been a good scene too.

Final Destination Trilogy is definitely my favourite. And I like House of Wax.

But other than that I don't fare well with horror movies. Not my thing.

I don't know why but to me House of Wax was more of a funny movie than a scary movie to me.

Haha everyone liked Paris Hilton getting impaled. Made it more of a comedy. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm going to watch 1408 tonight. I love the Saw series, but I've always avoided the Hostel movies as I was under the impression from friends who had seen it that it was simply "torture porn" (aka: mindless killing and bloodlust). The Saw movies have a storyline and reason, which I'll always need to mute the violence a bit.

Should I see Hostel then? I don't like it when a movie really tries to make you feel sick watching it. The autopsy scene at the beginning of Saw IV is about as "sick" as I'll go.

    You like storyline?

I already answered your question in the first post.

Of the few movies that actually make me jump: The Exorcism of Emily Rose and The Amityville Horror.
Those were a little too much for me, lol.

I like Scream, Final Destination, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, just 'cause they make me laugh. :/
