I was so shocked :s, she passed away at such a young age (27). How tragic, during these last days she was critized so much and now is gone. She was such a talented artist :s may she rest in peace

The tasteless jokes have already started on Facebook....

I have never been a fan of Amy but this is still such a tragic loss of someone so young. RIP Amy.

I didn't really care for what she did in her personal life, but I loved her music...

I enjoy her music, but I am shocked that anyone is shocked by this.

The saddest thing about her death is that it was something that in no way is unexpected or surprising.

It is sad that she struggled with extreme substance abuse, and that it got so out of hand that there was little even she could do to help herself beat it. We lost an amazing musician who was musically one of a kind. She was not like other musical stars today, who tend to be talentless drones pushing out repeditive crap. she had her own musical style that will be missed.

I have to agree with Emberstone, in that I'm not shocked by this, but it's still a tragedy that such a talent was taken from us so soon. Rest in peace, Amy.

I can't feel sorry for her at all. It's sad she died at a tragic young age, but it's her own fault really. Addicted to drugs and despite the help she got off her family (and I'm assuming friends), she couldn't get off the stuff and it was her downfall. Shame really, as she looked like she was a fine young lady before it all. She was going to die sooner or later, because of the drugs, I'm just surprised it didn't happen sooner. Like three or so years ago.

Plus, I couldn't stand her as a musician or personally (anyone remember she punched a fan at Glastonbury?), but my thoughts on her aren't affecting my current thoughts now.

The Norway deaths are more tragic and deserve our thoughts more than someone who had the chance to improve her life. Am I being harsh? Yes, but just being brutally honest.

    Rest in Peace, Amy.
"Back to Black" was my go-to album during my 8th and 9th grade years. I'm gonna try and find my copy.

I'm sad that she died, but only because she was so incredibly talented and it all got thrown away because she couldn't get off the drugs. Look at this video

2004, she seems happy, and then the crack happened. All of her talent is gone and she could have done so much with it but didn't, and that is sad.

I think that any death is sad, but it is frustrating knowing that Winehouse's death will most likely get more press because of her level of fame. If there isn't a thread on the Norway deaths then why don't you make one? That way people can discuss developments in the case and pay their respects to those affected by the tragedy.

I'm shocked...I wasn't much of a fan, but she did have a couple good songs.

RIP, Amy. Sorry you had to go at such a young age.

    My heart belongs to Norway.

winehouse's death will also get more attention because people like self-inflicted celebrity drama.

It'd definitely sad. I don't agree with the jokes but I'm not surprised that she passed.

i was shocked when i heard, even though it was "expected" it has been so for the last few years, and a death is a death and is upsetting none the less and she has such talent and even though everyones saying it was the drugs and self-inflicted etc, alcoholism and drug addiction is an illness and becomes so much more than "its her fault for using drugs", its just so sad that she couldn't overcome it. truly one of the greatest voices. R.I.P Amy.

Although I don't count myself as one of her fans, I can't deny that she was talented. She sadly died far too soon.
