I've never been a reader, but when I do I prefer fantasy. Soo.. I suppose Harry Potter is my favorite book series, Half Blood Prince probably being my favorite. I also just got into The Hunger Games, haha. Not a big fan of the writing if I'm being honest, but the whole concept fascinates me.

"Doctor Faustus" by Christopher Marlowe. Was my bedtime reading for a week. Adored it.

My favorite book changes almost as often as my underwear. I just finished Alice Walker's The Color Purple and I was amazed, so I'd say that is my current favorite book.

I could never pick just the one!

But, the most important ones I remember from one I was a kid:
His Dark Materials Trilogy, Phillip Pullman (Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass)
    Anything Terry Pratchett
Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. AwesomeTolkein
    A few by Victor Kelleher
    The Farseer triology, Robin Hobb

... Just a few off the top of my head. I'm sure I've forgotten some momentously important one...

Tie between the Mysterious Bennedict Society series by Trenton Lee Stewart, and The Haunted Bookshop by Christopher Morley. It's so hard to pick just one!

Right now, I'm thinking Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. I like a ton of books though.
