For those of you with an iPod, Zune, or other such music player, how big is it? And how many songs do you have on it? I've got 1,427 songs on a 8GB iPod.

I like it more than any iPod or Zune I had before. But on my computer's external HDD, I have around 45+ gigs of music.

My Winamp library has 11,589 items, From 10,000 Maniacs all the way through to ZZ Top. They are all on my Nas drive too so available on my Hifi. My 80gb Ipod Classic has most of them on it too, alas it doesn't work properly (headphone socket dodgy) so is used on my alarm clock dock only! My phone has access to the same via Google Music, but currently has 571 on it (although some of them are T-Mobile's blasted ring tones (I wish they would put them in the right folders so they didn't show up - but they haven't learnt!) - 8GB SD card, but that has lots of other stuff on it too (sat nav, loads of podcasts etc). |

I haven't deleted very many songs since I started acquiring music, and I have quite a few songs I never listen to any more. The rap and hip hop genres in particular are going to have a good deal less representation when I'm done with them.

My ancient 80 GB iPod Classic from 2007 died sometime early last year because I dropped it in the toilet by accident. Neither of my other iDevices can hold my entire music collection, so they pretty much just hold my favorite tracks (currently, there are 852 of them). I have about 7,400 songs, or ~42 GB's worth, on my computer.
