My idea of rock is probably different to yours, so I will suggest these two.

My God, I still don't understand why people like Wolfmother, they are the WORST. They are boring, use crappy riffs that have been done so many times before and have no sense to their lyrics, plus their afros look stupid.

    NO SENSE AND BORING.

Well there are bands worse than Wolfmother, so I guess I should be lenient. They are the worst to come out of Australia though. Having said that, you're free to listen to whatever music you want.

Now heres a real song called Woman, by Def Leppard.

Heh, I consider Def Leppard hard rock (even thought is mostly just normal rock) Slang is their heaviest album, which I would consider metal. Not many of their themes are metal like.

But yes, Metallica is Metal... Hell its got the word Metal in it! But it sure does ROCK.

Rock and Roll = Elvis. >_>

I posted what I regard as decent rock (not rock 'n' roll or metal, ROCK) for mine. It's probably more rock-ballard but that's what I like - some drama in my rock.

This thread needs The Who, so I present to you, Won't Get Fooled Again

There's some classic Daltrey/Townshend in that one. Make sure to watch the end, too.

Also, we need Hendrix lighting his guitar on fire. Easily one of the coolest things that ever happened in music. Also, he humps a speaker.

    Does this count?

If it doesn't then I officially snub this thread.

I've always like Joe Cocker's version better than the original Beatles' because not only does it rock the fucking rockets off a spaceship, but it's got so much soul.

The Used - Paralyzed. One of my favorite songs that my friend introduce me to.

Since I have NO idea how to direct link it here, I shall give you the link to YouTube:

I'm in more of metal, my current playlist (just a short one) is:
    Lay Down by Priestess
    One by Metallica
    Surrender by Cheap Trick
Rock you Like a Hurricane by The Scorpions
    Taivas lyö tulta by Teräsbetoni
Thunderhorse by Dethklok (Adult swim, Metalpocalypse)
Fury of the Storm by Dragonforce

    And it goes on.
