Italy is known for excellent pasta, pizza, Ferrari's and fine arts. But few can see some famous people know, the Italians were born. Here are some of the few famous and internationally known celebrities like entertainment.
Sophia Loren comes to mind immediately... As does that president who was having those "Bunga Bunga Parties" I'm a foodie, so most of the Italian celebrities I think of are Italian-American at best, or not internationally known. Like Gabriele Corcos, Debi Mazar's husband. He's Italian, but not world famous.
That would be Silvio Berlusconi. Tries to think of a another famous Italian.... Enzo Ferrari of course, Valentino Rossi, Jarno Trulli, and erm Mussolini
Vittorio de Sica (film director) Marcello Mastroianni (actor) Amadeu Modigliani (painter) Nicolai Machievelli(statesman/writer) Michelangelo (painter/sculptor etc) Leonardo da Vinci (painter and a lot of other things!) Here, the real world known celebrities are the fashion designers. Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Armani, Dolce and Gabbana, Ferré, Valentino, Versace. Then of course there's all the Renaissance celebrities - but they're all dead: Michelangelo, Bramante, Raphael, Bernini and Borromini (although they were Baroque), DaVinci.
