Anyone know this? I was going to post it in the "music that lifts you up" thread, but I thought it deserved its own thread as it has a nice story behind it. Oh, and it's brilliant.

Arthur Russell was somewhat of a polyglot musician who died from AIDS when he was just 40 in the early 90's, leaving behind thousands of tapes of material, and this is probably his most well known posthumous song. "This Is How We Walk On The Moon" was probably recorded shortly before his death; it being uplifting makes it all the more haunting for me. It also sounds very unfinished compared to other material of his, and I guess we'll never know what he was intending to do with it.

    Sad.
