I love fullmetal alchemist, and when I was younger I used to watch a little sailor moon.

But right now I watch Junjou Romantica.

I'm not a huge fan of anime, but i absolutely love cowboy bebop, grave of the fireflies, neon genesis, and some others i can't quite remember. I have seen some claymore, the music is sensational, the show itself is okay.

    Cowboy bebop is magnificent.

1: Cowboy Bebop: Very close with Black Lagoon, Spike is the coolest character ever, the supporting cast are fantastic and the story is truly epic. The main reason I think this is best is due to the best soundtrack of all time, the music on here is stunning a mix of every kind of genre out there, the band is called the seatbelts and you have to check them out.

2: Black Lagoon: This is very close for number one, Revy is an AMAZING character, she is such as strong independent person but deeply flawed. If you haven't seen this please give it a go sooooo good.

3: Dragonball Z: Fantastic introduction to anime as a kid, its like 20 years old and still a top watched anime.

Gundam (lol kind of made it the theme for my name/ avatar on here, but that's what happens when you make an account while on an anime kick) More specifically I think Zeta Gundam or 08th MS Team are my favorites in the series. Unicorn is pretty awesome too. (Those are all Gundam series btw)

Okay so this is gonna be a big list because I live in an anime watching family.

    Vandread
Grave of the Fireflies was a very good movie
I enjoyed Death Note and the Death Note movie L Change the World
GunGrave was awesome--except for the stupid sci-fi ness towards the end--all the mafia and man vs. man drama stuff was just great!
Trigun and Cowboy Bebop are family favorites.
A personal favorite is Black Cat. It's not super amazing story wise and when I put it on I don't really pay attention to all the episodes, but I enjoy the characters. It's a nice anime to have in the background. I even named my email address after it.
Oh, Full Metal Panic! Not usually a fan of mech animes, but Souske Sagura is one of my favorite characters! And I loved the slice of life Fumofuu season. That last episode with the poison...just priceless!
I've seen the more horror ones like When They Cry and School Days. I don't remember finishing Ergo Proxy, but I remember liking what I saw.
I also liked D Gray Man, but too bad it got canned.
Of course I've seen your typical ones like Naruto, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist.
    I LOVE Soul Eater!
    Gantz is a family favorite.
I enjoy slice of life animes too. Nana was good. Oh my god, absolutely love Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad!

    Yaoi time!

    Boku no Sexual Harrassment
    Winter Cicada
    Haru wo Daiteita
Mirage of Blaze (only one I know actually came on tv years back)
    Ai No Kusabi
    Close the Last Door
    Fujimi Orchestra
    Kizuna
    Enzai
    Level C
Sex Pistols (my aunt's favorite manga and anime)
    Legend of the Blue Wolves
Papa to Kiss in the Dark (unfortunately)
Koisuru Boukun (hilarious--still cliche yaoi, but hilarious)
Sensitive Pornograph (first yaoi I ever saw)
Okane Ga Nai (ugh, so annoying)
Junjo Romantica 1-2 (good, but frustrating)
    Pico Chronicles-Boku No Pico (didn't like)-Pico to Chico (love)-Pico x Chico x Coco (just gotta love. :lol:slight_smile:
Shounen Maid Kuro-Kun (just recently discovered this one. Gonna be honest, since it's a Shota just like Pico, it's basically porn. But I have no qualms about that so I like it. There are people who were shocked that that's what it basically was. :lol:slight_smile:

Most of these yaois are typical meaning pointless, but nice to look at. But there are a few in there that actually have good story lines, plot, knowable and likeable characters. It's hard to find good yaoi. To me good yaoi means an actual good anime only with male x male relationships.

It's even harder, though, to find good yuri (girl x girl relationships.)

    Yuri time!

    Strawberry Panic
    Shoujo Sect

Those are the only two that I know of that have actual female x female relationships, but the first one is well...kinda boring and the second one falls into the 'typical' category meaning there's no real stories, but it's nice to look at.

The sucky thing about both dramas is that most of the animes of the genres in anime and manga can be so typical. It's annoying, yet I still love both genres. If anyone can recommend any good Yuri, please and thank you. Even though I started wathing Yaoi first and watched it for a long time before I even knew about Yuri, I still feel weird having my Yaoi list more full than my Yuri list. Call it lezzy guilt. :lol)

    Good day.

Cowboy Bebop is probably my favourite series, next to Evangelion. My favourite film has to be either Paprika or Metropolis. Just about anything by Gainax is good too. Panty and Stocking, Abenobashi, FLCL, Gurren Lagann. Soul eater is frickin amazing and so is One Piece, though I've barely watched/read any of One Piece, and you can't go wrong with Dragon Ball.

Satoshi Kon is my favourite director/writer/producer/whatever; as long as he'd worked on something it was sure to be gold. If anyone hasn't already, you owe it to yourself to check out Paranoia Agent.

My absolute favorite is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and it's not just because I have a major crush on the main character. I'm actually not that fond of the Ghost in the Shell movie because I found it oppressively moody, though its quality and influence are undeniable.

I'm also rather fond of Cowboy Bebop and Seirei no Moribito. Overall, I tend to be more into anime with serious tones (just not excessively serious, like with the GitS movie) and adults as main characters, though I've made exceptions for some slice-of-life and/or comedy series (Azumanga Daioh springs into mind).

Wolf's Rain is awesome. So tragic, but I still loved it. Also had an awesome soundtrack.

Le Chevalier Dion was good. A little heavy, but good.
Elfen Lied was just bat shit crazy, but love the song Lilium.

Oh and another yaoi that I like is Gravitation. Great music, good story, great characters.

Oh geez, was it ever... and it had the worst ending. Marathoning that in one night with friends (and it being my first real "anime") to end it at 3am with that? I was very unhappy. ):<

And for me, I'd have to say Darker Than Black. Good over-arcing plot, episode plots, soundtrack (Yoko Kanno <3), concept, etc... I could go on for daaaays.
