A friend made me watch this over a message and I ended up really liking it:

Soooo... anyone else listen to K-pop? Think someone can inform me of some music selections I might like? I'm thinking things similar to this is a good bet :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Well, SHINee and SNSD seem to be some of the most popular, so definitely check out their stuff.
I tend to prefer female K-Pop groups/artists, so that's what you'll be getting from me.

The song you posted had a bit of a darker feel to it, and reminded me of some of 2NE1's stuff.

Also, if you want some good ballads, try IU.

HyunAh's Bubble Pop was pretty big, too.

Haha, well I'm not opposed to J-pop (or J-rock or whatever other "genres" there are), I just don't know any better :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. Thanks though guys, I'll give them a listen!

Dammit, Ethan, you beat me. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I also wholeheartedly recommend IU for ballad type songs. IU is very talented at such a young age, and is probably one of the best (if not THE best) K-pop singer I've heard. She also sounds great live, from what I've seen.

If you like some sassy, slightly provocative (music video-wise) dance/R&B music, I recommend Miss A. They're my favorite K-Pop group, hands down.

Wonder Girls is also a good group, very powerful vocals there.

Other good ones are 2NE1 (like Ethan mentioned above), T-Ara (they sound kinda whiny in some songs, though...), Girl's Generation (their international name. Their Korean name is SNSD), and f(x).

For male groups, my fave is definitely 2PM. They're dance/hip hop.

Rain/Bi is a solo artist, and his music is mostly dance and R&B.

Other male groups I like~ Teen Top, MBLAQ and 2AM.

I would get into J-Pop...but I think I'll wait since my list for Japanese music is MUCH larger. XD

There's this Korean group called SHINee which my friend really likes. I think it's K-pop, but I can't say for sure, maybe it's because every slightly dancey song in korean is k-pop for me. :eusa_doh: Anyway, from what my friend tells me, they're very popular. Check it out

Though I can't specifically identify any perticular K-Pop artists I've heard (It's been a long time, and I don't think I ever knew their names) K-Pop is alright, though I tend to like any foreign music. C-Pop was good too. Though, I was mostly hooked on J-Pop. Actually, hypnotized by Kobukuro's Koko ni shi ka saka nai hana for a while.

It's like this for me: If I want to listen to some really soulful (male) R&B or some awesome rock music, Japan is the way to go. If I want to listen to really good Hip Hop, Pop, Dance, or really soulful (female) R&B, I go with South Korea.

K-Pop is pretty good in my view. I like Epik High's "One."

I love F(x)! (the first video you posted) They're new and their music is actually really good.

I'm also a bit obsessed with SNSD. Or, to put it more accurately, a bit obsessed with Sooyoung.

Try Boys over Flowers if you're just introduced and anything by No Minwoo or Lee Seungee. Also, a great band is Big Bang
