Moon Chase! » Blog Archive » BREAKING NEWS: New Sailor Moon Anime to Premiere Around the World in 2013!

According to someone who translated the actual announcement, it's a "powered-up retelling of the original aimed at older fans"

I'm curious who's going to bring it to the US, seeing as how strict the US Censorship has gotten on shows lately.

All I can say: Hell to the freaking yes. :3

Also: I know there was another Sailor Moon thread, but it was about something other than the actual show, and well, this is going to be a new show anyway. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Thought I'd post this as I know there are a lot of Sailor Moon fans here, xD

I know I'm getting waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy ahead of myself here, but hopefully if they get to S and beyond (which I hope they do), the outers (especially Saturn) get more screentime.

I guess I'm at least optimistic that they have the chance to do things better this time around with the anime.

OMG... I've watched Sailor Moon w/ my sisters growing up. I was so upset when I found out how edited the English adaptation was. I hope they do this one justice tho. I'm so excited I can't believe it (!)

I've never seen the show, but I've been reading the manga. I'm curious to see this... hopefully its not over-edited to suit "our" tastes.

I think it will be an interesting comparison to the original anime. I imagine that it will be set out more realistically where the characters are more relatable as people, not just cartoon characters. I really hope they don't edit the story too much though - things like Haruka and Michiru's relationship, for instance, should not be censored (I think I will cry if it is).
