I love it so much, the attention to detail in all the little visual jokes about the future are amazing, as is the actual series itself but I'm nerdy enough to re-watch enough to pick up on EVERYTHING. The new series is good. The first and last (so far) episodes especially (the bit with Amy and Leela in the shower was particularly hilarious)
I love this show. I've never followed it (because I don't follow any TV shows, really) but I love watching it whenever it's on. Never found an episode I haven't liked yet.
Futurama is one of my all-time favorite shows. One of the few where I don't get discouraged by the thought of watching reruns. I have liked what I have seen of the new season so far, too.
It's definitely one of the better animated comedies out there, and it does a fantastic job at blending comedy and poignancy. "Jurassic Bark" gets me every single time; I can't handle the feels from the episode...
Ditto - I'm not sure if the reruns are better because they are shown so sporadically on Pick TV (unlike The Simpsons repeated ad-neausum on Channel 4 and Family Guy/American Dad on BBC Three - when you know within 30 seconds of an episode everything which is going to happen you know you've seen it too often!) or if there is simply more too them. Futurama needs a different mind set to those though - if you expect in your face comedy forget it, but if well crafted stories with an attention to detail which make you laugh are you your bag then Futurama has it in spades!
You're not alone. I've seen each episode at least 15 times each, which is a pretty conservative estimate. LOVE the movies, and I've probably seen each one at least 50 times. The butterfly and robot Hermes episodes were kind of weak, I hope it gets better!
I've been in love with it for years now. I'm glad for the new season, it cuts into all the repeats. The only place showing it now is CC I believe? I have no idea who is running the episodes but they keep putting the same damn ones on. By that I mean I think I saw "Futurestock" listed on my Futurama DVR list 14 times within less than one month.
At least Futurestock is a good one! Don't you worry about blank, let me worry about blank. I don't have cable. ): I have some of the episodes on DVD and I stream the rest of the episodes online. ---------- Post added 28th Jul 2012 at 10:43 PM ---------- Jurassic Bark and Cold Warriors are the saddest episodes to me. :C
I love futurerama! I actually haven't watched the newest season, i usually just watch random episodes on netflix lol.
