Hmmm: OK, so, the last one I watched properly was The Strangers. It's not the best movie in the world, but I certainly enjoyed the jump factor. I say "horror", it's more psychological, but still, a pretty good watch. I also recently started watching House on Haunted Hill remake again(though stopped early into it because my BF wanted sleep) because it is one of my favourite horror movies. Again, not the best of the genre by any means, but for some reason I just love it. The Orphan also gets my vote. Thats just messed up in places.
Insidious! It was a bit silly at times, but overall I thought it was pretty good. It had a few jump scares. I love scary movies. The scariest ones I've seen have all been Asian films. Almost messed up how scary some of them are. Shutter (Thai version) creeped me out throughout 9th grade.
The most recent one I watched was Ghastly (Korean horror movie)... it was so scary and messed up. Other movies: - Shutter (Thai version): This movie was especially creepy for me since I studied photography during high school and understood what was going on. - Doll Master (Korean film): Not as scary as the other two but still decent.
To Yes! That movie was by far one of the scariest movie I've seen; I love horror movies The last horror movie I've watched was The Grudge (Juno)...not really scary :eusa_doh:
I watched Grave Encounters with my cousins last week because we were bored. It was okay .. haha. Some parts were really weird. At the theaters, I watched The Woman in Black. It was eh, was upset about the ending though. At the moment, my favourite horror movie that's been out somewhat recently is Insidious.
The last one I watched was Chernobyl Diaries. It was okay. I liked that it didn't relay heavily on jump scares, like other horror films, and that it wasn't too graphic. It still kept me on the edge of my seat though. Off the top of my head, one horror film that I like is 28 Days Later.
Twilight. One of the scariest movies I've ever seen. I still can't believe I sat through the entire movie.
Cabin in the Woods. Best horror movie I've seen. Although that's probably because it's a combination of existential philosophy and a critique of horror movies themselves .
the last horror movie i saw was madison county...i don't think you could even call it horror, it was awful :T
Hrm... I saw Ju-On (you might know the American verion called "The Grudge")... it was creepy. o_e Maybe not SCARY, but pretty frackh'd up at parts. I also like Blair Witch Project (I expect shuns... apparently some people hated it), but the movie along with bonus footage was what set me off... watching it at 1:00 AM at my friend's house... in the dark in the middle of the woods. Yes... o_o
Hmm. I watched Silent House not too long ago. It was fairly decent. I watched Prometheus a few weeks before that, it isn't necessarily a 'horror' type film but parts of it definitely were a bit scary- ok, little more than a bit. But I loved it. Maybe thats why I wasn't as impressed with Silent House. Then again, I'm comparing apple to oranges again. My point is, Silent House played with the mind and the effects were nice. A good thriller/horror movie.
The last horror movie that I saw was The Exorcist, I didn't really find it that scary though, some of it was creepy but none that really scared me. Except for that demon head thing.
I watched "Shutter Island" last. Not really scary but definitely confusing the first time you watch it.
