This sounds like an Onion article. Sadly, it's not.

The Grammar in that letter is worse than all their arguments combined... And that's saying something...

if you want to comprehend satanisem, just watch the 700 club, which is the leading vehicle of satanic rhetoric.

What I just said has more validity than the letter.

Should I ruin it completely for them and tell 'em about what goes on in the Olympic Village?

I could definitely see myself competing in the Olympic Village... hehe. Not the sprints, though, its over too quick. Maybe the 800m or the 1500m ;-) Not too much long distance, have to pace myself.

They're wrong. It could have used more slow-motion shots in between the slow-motion shots of the beautiful bodies moving in HD... It was pretty hot, and that's why most people pretend to care about events they've never heard of. If it was too sexy, then they should blow off steam in a healthier manner.

This might come as a surprise but I somewhat agree with the article, but for very different reasons. The author hits the nail on the head about the sexualization of women.

I can commisserate with others here on the male privilege thingy as I've been subjected to taunts and worse things sometimes when I go out as a female. As I watched the Olympics, I once again noticed how sexualized it's getting to be. Just compare the outfits the women track athletes ware with the men's, or the outfits that the female beach volleyball players were with the men's. I doubt that this letter was written to protest the sexualizing of women in sports, but they're still deadon about that nonetheless.

This really does have toxic consequences on women. It perpetuates the idea that women's sports only sells due to sex. This couldn't be further from the truth. It also reinforces the false idea that women have to be pretty/sexy in order to be viewed as a strong woman. Both of these things really have caused gender equality to hit a snag.

For the same reasons as the author of that letter, I've boycotted sports. It robs women of their dignity by using them to forward the system, maintaining the status uo.

On another note, I'm kind of sad nobody else has commented on that. Seeing as we're all queers, I would expect you to of all people to critique the olympics and sports in general for doing this.
