Why oh why have I not heard of this musical? My friend adores John Barrowman and showed me the vid below and I have to say, I'm in love with this song right now. Yes i've heard of it and it was adapted in 1983 from a 1973 play and later transposed into a film called "The Birdcage" with Robin Williams http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Birdcage
The 1978 "La Cage aux Folles" was a great movie.French.It was quite a tease for it's time in dealing with a gay life style.The 1996 version "The Birdcage", was complete crap, but if you ever get a chance, watch the original.
