I love movies of all kinds but unfortunately I cannot seem to find a mainstream movie with lgbt characters coming out as the storyline. I know there are other movies out there that are directed towards the lgbt community, but they usually have a poor storyline, little to no budget and lack appeal to larger audiences. This seems a bit strange to me considering that, atleast in the U.S., we have had openly gay characters on network television.
    What are your thoughts?

By nature, LGBT films are a niche thing. Straight audiences will never "get" it, thusly it will never sell.

I'm guessing you know the meaning of wallflower?
its not like some people may think think in reference to the novel and film "the perks of being a wallflower" as much as I adore that book.
I'm guessing that was what you were asking?

I find most LGBT-themed movies boring and unwatch-able, so I only have evr=er made it through perhaps three of them.
Out of the three, I Love You Phillip Morris is my favorite. It was also mainstream all over the place besides America.
It's got Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor in it as a gay couple, and I love the entire thing to pieces.
