Any anime/manga fans?

I enjoy some anime, but not to the point of favoring it over any other media format. If its good I'll watch it regardless of format. That said, I like a lot of individual anime shows I've seen, so I tend watch a lot of it.

I haven't ever done cosplay. Never saw the appeal in doing so. I have a couple of friend's that enjoy going to anime conventions in cosplay, but I just never had any urge to go with them. Same with RP.

Seems mostly shounen, comedy, and psychological.

 

I like Simoun and Hayate No Gotoku (anime series), Ouran HSHC (manga and anime), Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke (anime movies), and probably one or two others I've forgotten. I haven't seen much, though my brother wants me to get into Aria/Aqua and Death Note, and is saving Planetes for when I'm a touch older. I reckon I should watch more shojou; it seems a lot of fun and very cute, depending on the series.

 

I love Serial Experiments Lain, Paranoia Agent, Ghost in the Shell (the movie and the series), Darker than Black, Grave of the Fireflies, and yaoi, of course

I like manga too, but haven't gotten past yaoi and shounen-ai yet.

 

yes although not as much as I used to be.
I'm a cosplayer though, doing my final hetalia one next month, after that I'm not doing any more from that series.. the fandoms gotten bad again..

 

So far I've watched Corpse Princess, High School of the Dead, and Fruits Basket in full, and liked them all. I'm watching Ouran High School Host Club right now, and I'm really liking it. On my to-watch list is Negima, as well as rewatching Dragonball Z. Any other good animes that y'all recommend?

 

I'm so glad someone else has seen Fruits Basket, my friends and I used to love it, we all bought it on dvd and read the manga. But everyone else I've talked to has never seen it lol.

Who's watched Claymore? It's bloody, gory and violent, but still really good. Rated TV-MA, but I like it. For some reason it's addicting. Too bad it's not on Netflix anymore. :icon_sad:

Who likes or watched Happy Tree Friends? It's stupid, gory, and I hate it, but for some reason I watch it just because it's funny for some ridiculous reason.

I recommend Claymore more, though. For some reason it's counted as a "horror" TV series, but it rarely scared me. It made me tense up at some bits, but that's it.

 

^Claymore was good except for the horrible ending.

Yeah I'm a fan of anime and manga, though that is pretty much because I'm a fan of any story based medium and anime and manga are pretty prevalent online.
