    Has anybody seen this?

I just got finished watching it. It's about a boy and his little sister during WW2 in Japan, They're parents die and they live on their own, and it's ends up very bad.

It's by Studio Ghibli, so it's an anime.

I cried sooooo much I can't even believe it I've never been so sad from a movie before. :tears:

Have seen it. Fucking brilliant. I'm not an anime fan in general but even as a standalone film regardless of medium, that is one of the best.

I want to see it, but at the same time, I'm too scared to. Neither myself nor my anime expert friend (who's watched an ungodly amount of anime) have seen this movie because both of us are a bit afraid of how we might react emotionally. Based on what I've observed while with him and what he's told me about himself, I'm pretty sure he's scared he might become a blubbering mess when watching this movie, even though he's normally not afraid to show raw emotion. I'm scared of the same, because I have always felt ashamed of myself when crying (even when alone), and I'm frankly scared to find out whether this movie will make me cry.

I didn't cry but the film is a cinematic masterpiece. Both visually and historically.
But then again I love all things Ghibli so I may be a bit biased. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I've been putting off watching this film for a long time.

But anything Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki Hayao is just amazing.

I've got it on my hard drive, from a long night of downloading sad movies. Still haven't watched it in its entirety, but what I saw was quite moving.
