I'm personally absolutely in love with film scores and for me, they are what make a movie fantastic. I really love dark themed scores the best. Mine have to be, V for Vendetta, Black Swan, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Titanic, Pan's Labyrinth, Donnie Darko, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and Angels & Demons. Now, what are your favorites?
I'd have to say E.T months of studying that sodding soundtrack for a level music oh but they are loads of others too harry potter being one of them
Definitely Giant (1956). Dimitri Tiomkin did a phenomenal job of creating the atmosphere of western Texas life. I also really enjoyed the score for Ted a lot, because it had a very retro feel to it, which a lot of films don't have nowadays.
Film scores, huh? Amelie Castle in the Sky Coco Avant Chanel How to Train your Dragon The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring The Girl who Leapt Through Time
O Brother Where Art Thou is hands down my all-time favorite (just endless hillbilly mountain music), Battle Royale (that requiem is what I hear when I have an orgasm), A Clockwork Orange (also what I hear when I have an orgasm), Gone With the Wind, Lawrence of Arabia (more eargsmic pleasures), The Dark Knight, Holes, Empire of the Sun, and every f-cking James Bond Movie. I know it's a musical, but does Chicago count?
The Dark Knight Trilogy (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises), Iron Man, Inception, Star Wars, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Star Trek (2009), Casino Royale and many more.
While not an entire score itself, it has been used in lots of films and TV series. John Murphy's Adagio in D minor is a beautiful piece of music that makes me phase out of what is happening on screen and just listen to the music in a little trance like state. It really is wonderful.
