    Chrono Trigger. Best game ever. And the aforementioned Pokemon, Okami Den, Final Fantasy, Zelda, and Dragon Quest.

    Professor Layton and the Last Specter
    A story-driven adventure game filled with brainteasers. The art style is oft compared to the films of Hayao Miyazaki. There are three other games in the Professor Layton series available for the DS you could check out if you enjoy this one.

    Radiant Historia
    A JRPG with time-travel mechanics and an interesting battle system. The game takes around 30 hours to complete, which could be a pro or a con depending on your preferences.

    Elite Beat Agents
    A humorous rhythm game featuring songs like "September" and "Let's Dance." Be warned: some people have complained about touchscreen damage due to its heavy use in the game.
