watcha guyz think? im so rooting for juno to win!! but i think oscar will goes to 'no country for old men'. and for actress, kate blanchett shud win for elizabeth. her acting is so awsum. as for actor, i really dont have a clue who will win... i think i need to watch those movies again...
All I know is that No Country for Old Men (looks awesome) Juno (was awesome) Across the Universe (is NOMINATED which makes me happpy cause everyone said it wasn't mainstream enough...and I was like that doesn't really matter) I want to see There Will be Blood though. It's got a ton of nominations too. Anyone wanna go see it this weekend with me? It's playing at the local arts centre... I'll pay.. COME ON GUYS!!! Def. Kate B on Queen Elizabeth...Eff she's a good actor!
I'm gonna be a patriot about this year's awards, so I'm hoping for the Polish movie Katyń to win in Best Foreign Language Film, and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly in Best Cinematography.
I can say that this years Oscars was a bit of an upset. Across the Universe should of definatly gotten best costume. I mean C'mon!!!! And Across the Universe should of gotten ALOT more then it did. Okay so despite Across the Universe getting one nomination...the Oscars weren't that bad. I knew Daniel Day Lewis would Milkshake his way into best actor though. Haha! But No Country for Old Men won best picture. And I guess so 3 Oscars overall, 2 won tongiht. Haha Awesome!
I think that Juno should've done beter than it did, but at least it was nominated alot. And did anyone else LOVE that song that won?!
OMG! And the winner for Best Documentary: Short Subject was about discrimination against the GLBT community! Go Freeheld!
I might as well post up the results so everyone isn't fishing around. I only got to see about half of it. Jon Stewart was an awesome host (as expected) - just like 2006. Best picture was pushing it, but I still had my fingers crossed that Juno would get it
I read that one of the actor's in this went to live with the real life couple for six months to get a feel of what they were going through. Her husband agreed to take care of the kids during this time.
Phil..... I watched Across the Universe yesterday. I have to say although the music was good, I felt like I was on a LSD trip throughout most of the movie. There were parts of it where I was just totally confused.
I was really happy that Marion Cotillard won. She was an amazing Edith Piaf and does wonderfully in any role she pursues.
