    Well,

I started reading Jurassic Park yesterday and am almost half way through it.

I've been enjoying it, it has details the movies left out.

    Any comments?

It's been a while since I read Jurassic Park...but I do remember it as much better than the movie (even though the movie was pretty awesome).

Another good book by Michael Crichton was Sphere. Though the movie version of Sphere was really, really bad compared to the book IMO.

I've never read the book, but I've heard it's quite good.

I do love the movies, though, especially the first and second ones.

I read that for school a couple years ago and I loved it! I bought the sequel to it which is also really good

Absolutely love the two books. Jurassic Park really expanded my curiosity for science and genetics in particular. I feel that the books don't receive nearly enough love, not at least the amount that they deserve.

I read the book a couple of years ago and was incredibly disappointed. Its one of the only times ive thought of a film as being better than the book. Dont get me wrong, the book is ok, but the film was my childhood favourite film. Theres too many memories attached, too much nostalgia.

That and the film being so different, the characters acting differently and what not, it just felt wrong. I know the book came first and thats how the characters were meant to be, its just me looking at the film with rose tinted glasses.

I thought the book was boring.

I thought the movie was mediocre-at-best special effects porn.

I thought that the Jurassic Park book was awesome! Been forever since I've read it though. Another good one of his that I liked was Airframe.
