Who's a better doctor? Matt Smith or David Tennant?

Tennant is waaaay better.

 

They are both amazing....

Personally though I felt I connected more with Tennant more than Smith because Smith tends to hide behind his "witty and awkward" side, whereas Tennant will give it to you straight. That's not necessarily a bad thing as Smith has some pretty damn good moments.

I am definitely preferring the seasons with Smith more than Tennant though, mainly because of the cast. Amy and Rory are really good support characters, but River by far takes the cake. Love her character.

 

I agree with you, David Tennant. For the same reasons aswell

Though I prefer Tennant slightly,I'm a fan of both of them.
I also like Eccleston. I know he wasn't part of the question,but he doesn't get enough love.

 

I like both, but I prefer Tennant. Possibly because he had better storylines and did a bit more and was a bit more varied in personality. Also partially because I've seen him in other things and loved it.
And agreed that Eccleston doesn't get enough love!

 

Hard to choose, because when David Tennant was the Doctor, the story lines were better in my opinion, He was better at showing emotion. But his companions were obnoxious. I'm sorry, but I just couldn't stand any of them. Matt Smith is way funnier and his companions have always been great. However his episodes you really had to follow closely, so I'm not sure... They both impress me greatly.

David Tennant by far!

 

Matt Smith. I love that he is so crazy-random and funny, even though he is doing it to mask his emotions,. He is also way more sexy. I also love the character Amy Pond, of all of the companions between the 10th and 11th Doctors she had the most common sense.

 

Ummm they're pretty equal, just that Matt Smith has been handed some really dreadful scripts by Steven Moffat.

 

I'm with you!except I like the Matt smith story lines a lot better. But the companions with Tennant were so obnoxious. And i cried like a baby when Amy and rory left they were the best

 

I think Tennant is better. I just found him a bit more believable. I mean the guy was obsessed with doctor who when he was a kid and he became an actor because he believed he was destined to be one of the doctors. His dream came true

 

David Tennant by miles, better actor and with Russel T. Davies he had much better scripts. i really feel nothing for this Doctor.

 

David Tennant is my favorite. I felt way more emotionally connected to him. Matt Smith is great and witty and fun to watch, but I just don't connect as well with him as I did with Tennant. They are both great though....David is just a bit more great than Matt.

 

Both have their ups and downs. While Tennet is my preferred Doctor, Matt has had a better supporting cast to back him up. Although Christopher should also be in on this question, he deserves it.

 

The doctor is best doctor.
