Just wondering what theatre buffs out there like

    My favorites are :

    Clybourne Park

    A Raisin in the Sun

    Les Miserables

    Phantom of the Opera

    Little Shop of Horrors

    Sideshow

Lysistrata ( not Lysistrata Jones, that one sucked)

Carrie the Musical ( most people hate this one, but you have to admit that the Carrie/Margret scenes were spectacular)

    And my all-time favorite :

SMILE ( why this flopped, the world may never know)

Got to love Les Mis. I also like Sweeney, Guys & Dolls, Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, and all Gilbert and Sullivan operettas. Kiss Me Kate and West Side Story are good too.

Watched the movie, I cried like 3 times watching it. You could hear sniffles in the theater every 5 minutes :tears:

I love musicals so much. Some of my favorites in no particular order:

    Man of La Mancha

    Les Miserables

    Reefer Madness

    My Fair Lady

    Book of Mormon

    Phantom of the Opera

The Last 5 Years (I <3 Jason Robert Brown)

    Jesus Christ Superstar

    Godspell

    Into the Woods

    Avenue Q

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Oh my God, it makes me so happy that there are other people who not only know Carrie and Sideshow exist, but like them!

I could understand why some people wouldn't like Carrie, but who wouldn't like Sideshow?

I like all of the above ... but would add Ragtime as one of the best out there. It's music was sublime and the unfolding of the racial tension is without par.

And my guilty pleasure, the one I secretly love and feel embarrassed about? Jekyll and Hyde ... and damn you Hoff for taking a great thing and hoffing it all up!
