There used to be a tv show a few years ago called "South of Nowhere" (it was on the same network as Degrassi: The Next Generation), about two teenage girls in high school. One of them is named Spencer Carlin, whose family moves to Los Angeles from Ohio, and at school she meets a girl named Ashlely Davies. After meeting Ashley, she begins questioning her sexuality and who she is while dealing with other problems...

Here's a short trailer for the first season:

It's no longer on, but has anyone else seen it before? What do you think of it? Personally, I loved it a lot and have downloaded quite a few episodes. It really helped me start questioning about what I was feeling in my own life. I wish it was still on tv, though!

I watched some episodes DVD with some friends I thought the plots were good and the characters were likeable and friendly to watch. It would be amazing for someone examining their sexuality and trying to find their place.

The L Word was okay but I don't think it was as powerful in the sense of touching a girl or woman who was undecided or confused.

A movie I would recommend is The Truth About Jane. A good discovery and coming out story. I had a sense of reality as to the repercussions both positive and negative that do happen when a person comes out. If you have not seen that it would be a good watch.
