I have an old Apple Powerbook Titanium (with 400MHz CPU and 512MB of RAM) running OS-X 10.4, which I use for testing websites in Safari.

I have one question and one problem which Mac users should be able to help with.

Question: Other than Safari, what are commonly used web browsers for OS-X? I would like to get all the common browsers on the machine for website testing.

Problem: When I started it up today the application bar thingie along the bottom did not appear. I had to click on the hard disk icon then the Programs (or whatever) folder to find and start Safari. How do I get that bar back?

    Thanks!

Other than Safari, I'd say Firefox and Camino are really popular.

    Possibly Shiira.

    As far as the dock,

    System Preferences>Dock (in Personal category)

is where you go in 10.4 to fix that.
