    I found this story on the BBC News website which includes this good clear explanation of leap years.

    wow. that's so cool.

    my sis was almost born on leap year. 25 min later and she'd be turning 5 (b/c she's twenty) this year. she really wishes my mom had "held out" :slight_smile:

    My digital watch did not register 29/2. Instead it went to 1/3. Stupid watch.

    Every year that is:

    1) Exactly divisible by four.
    -AND-
    2) Cannot be divided exactly by 100 except where it can be divided exactly by 400.

    ...is a leap year :slight_smile:

    In code:

    Code:
    public static bool isLeapYear(uint year)
    {
            return year % 4 == 0 && (year % 100 != 0 || year % 400 == 0);
    }
