Anybody watching the new Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles? I've just watched the first episode and it's pretty good. Ive heard its better than T3 but not as good as T2. I like it! Actors suit their roles as well I think.

I've been watching it since day one and I'm liking it a lot. It's not perfect but I'm a hell of a lot more happy with it than I was with T3.

Plus Zach from Heroes: yay! And Summer Glau is a good choice for being a weird robot. And they've added Brian Austin Green, which is funny because I watched way too much Beverly Hills 90210 in the 90s.

I haven't watched it. I just can't believe anybody other than Linda Hamilton can be Sarah Connor.

T3 created so many plot errors.

T3 was just plain awful. Granted, it had Claire Danes, so that was one good thing, but first off, they killed Sarah Connor, which is just wrong. Second, they had Judgment Day happen, when the whole point of T1 and T2 was the prevention of Judgment Day, so all T3 is just basically saying a big "fuck you" to all the "efforts" of the characters in T1 and T2. Third, the villain/hero interplay in T3 was a total ripoff of T2, and the villain's capabilities, other than its ability to control other machines, were vastly inferior to the T-1000 in T2.

This is what happens when you make a Terminator movie without James Cameron's involvement: you get dreck. Now if T3 had been a standalone movie that hadn't been preceded by Terminator and Terminator 2, it would have been a decent movie. But as a sequel to those two pre-existing movies? It sucked, and it sucked hard, and not in the good way.

It's just started on Virgin over here, I haven't watched it though - I'm not a fan of spin-off series after films. Like the Blade series and Smallville.

Actually no, first season ends tonight. I'm hating that it's so short because of the writers' strike but I'm really hoping they get picked up for a full season 2!

The Terminator is one of my favorite movies. Terminator 2 is one of my least favorite :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: as they totally destroyed everything that made the first one awesome, in my opinion. Ever since then, I make it a point to stay far, far away from the franchise.

I watched the entire 1st season and loved it! I really do enjoy the way that Cameron becomes more and more human as the goes on!
