    hokay,
I don't fancy forking out for Photoshop so I'm looking for a free program. MS Paint is useless :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    Anyone have any suggestions?

IrfanView is a graphics viewer with some editing features. www.irfanview.com
Paint.NET is reputed to be good but I haven't tried it. www.getpaint.net
Both are for Windows (XP and Vista)

Gimp kinda sucks but it's probably the best you're going to find. It's okay if you don't need CMYK colors and don't mind having 9253897696320 little windows open. Go for it.

If you don't minding spending some money, but not as much as the full PhotoShop, have a look at PhotoShop Elements. It's about £70 I think and is a very capable program. I use it for all the website graphics etc I do at work and it does everything I need, and does it very well. I have Version 5 but I think Version 6 is out now.
