    ...JJ Abrams!

One man has control over Star Wars and Star Trek? Wow. I'm interested to see what he and Michael Arndt do with this, how about you guys?

The fact that the mouse is in control is what scares me the most about any future Star Wars movies :tears:

I predict they'll be about as involved as they were with The Avengers. Which is, to say, they make the money and let their subsidiary do the work (in this case LucasFilm).

Plus, it can't be worse than the prequels.

Good point...at least let's hope that they're not worse than the prequels.

With Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, Little Miss Sunshine, Brave and upcoming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Oblivion) writing, I don't think we have anything to worry about.

I read a bunch of the novels that followed Return Of The Jedi....I'm hoping they follow that story line.

J.J. Abrams won't be so bad. As long as he doesn't muck it up with smooth shiny things and lens flares.

The last I heard they were supposed to follow the story lines of the novels that came after Return Of The Jedi...but not 100% sure.

Interesting choice. I can't wait to see what kind of unique spin he puts on this franchise after having completely revamped and energized Star Trek so that it appealed to a whole different audience in addition to classic fans. I feel like i'll probably enjoy these movies much more than I did the prequels~

Figured Star Wars wouldn't disappear forever. I'm excited for it, why not.

I agree with Shiromay. I was a Star Trek fan long before Abrams and I think he did a great job with the Trek movie. I'm definitely interested and hopeful about what he could do with Star Wars.
