I was wondering if anyone else here adores Wes Anderson's movies. I watched Moonrise Kingdom again recently, and I just can't get enough of it (though I liked Rushmore better).

His movies are tinged with a sort of melancholy aftertaste, even though they all have semi-happy endings. This really resonate with me for some reason.

I've been meaning to go on an Anderson binge for a while.
I saw Moonrise Kingdom a month or two ago and thought it was pretty great so I can't wait to see his other works.

All of his movies are excellent choices. They're all pretty hilarious!

Moonrise kingdom was amazing!!! I think all of his films are absolutely gorgeous...The Aquatic Life of Steve Zissou, Darjeeling Limited...haven't seen Rushmore yet. Something about the way every character is kind of weirdly serious and quirky...and the use of color is so vibrant.

They're beautiful! I love how he shoots the scenes very still, without any shaky hands.

I have all his movies on DVD/Bluray. My favorite is still The Darjeeling Limited, but it's mainly because I really want to go to India. The Royal Ts is very close though

  7. The Royal Tenenbaums is one of my favourite movies of all time. Everything else he's done is fantastic but I'm not the biggest fan of The Darjeeling Limited or Rushmore still solid 8/10 movies though, just not up to snuff with the rest of his stuff.

He's working on a new movie set in the past about some european hotel sounds properly weird.

I loved The Royal Tenenbaums, too! Man, all his films are too good!

I heard about that weird film. Apparently he's been working on it for a really long time.

My friends and I had a Wes Anderson movie marathon a while ago and it was awesome! We watched The Life Aquatic, Moonrise Kingdom and The Darjeeling Limited! What a good day that was

No mention of Fantastic Mr. Fox. I love that movie! The taxidermy vibe of the animation is strangely appropriate. Also they used one of Wes' own jackets to make the titular character's suit!

The Royal Tenenbaums is my favorite of his movies. His movies are so quirky and full of subtle humor.
