I am listening to country music at the moment! Being from the UK, I can't say I'm a redneck, but I do love country music

I was raised on Western and Country.
Patsy Cline I sang to my gramma as she lay dying.
Grampa and me before he passed away would sit in the Jeep on the farm and play his 8 track of Johnny Cash...and sing together every song!

Depends on the song, I was raised on country music but have since shifted to Rock. Most of the country songs I like came out in the 90s and early 2000s.

I live (Unfortunately) on a farm in North Central Kansas. I hate country. Every. Single. Song. It's the only thing ever on the radios and the only music you ever hear. I get so tired of it.

Somewhat, but like some others have said more the stuff that was circulating in the nineties and early aughts or just on a song-by-song basis.

That being said, I love folk/roots music, mainly the really really old songs that, quite frankly, sound a bit on the creepy side at times.

I actually like country music, I'm probably one of the few people in Seattle, specifically the South-Side I enjoy Dolly like how can you not? Scotty Mccreary, and like 1 song from Josh turner oh and Hunter Hayes.

I like country. Granted, there are a few songs/artists that I just can't handle (mainly the ones who go out of their way to sound as redneck as possible) but most of it is good. I don't understand why people always hate on country.

There's a difference. I grew up on my dad listening to Willie Nelson and any of the older groups. That is true Country Western Music.

Today? It sucks. These new acts are really pathetic. There's only a small few that are truly amazing - Lady Antebellum is great, but even they aren't classically country (but they can do it.) Sugarland is my favorite. Jennifer has the best voice. But besides that, the men can't do anything. It is all terrible. My dad will be at work and he says "once the young kids leave, I turn that crap off!'

  20. I'm from the UK also, and I've tried looking for good country music, but searching 'country' on youtube isn't much good. Can anyway advise me on some good songs?

I've heard Lady Antebellum (and apparently Taylor Swift is country) but they both sound like fake pop-country-whatever, so they didn't satisfy my desire for country!
