Who else has given it a listen? I think it's simply incredible, but I'm a bit biased.

  2. Yep I listened to it the first day the stream came out. I mean it bewilders me how he could have pulled it off. It's fantastic from start to finish it reminds you of the past without letting itself stay there and do nothing. (Just look at the cover.) I'm in love with it and I even tried to stop listening so I wouldn't get sick of it but found it literally impossible. It's up there with the best he's ever done if you ask me.

Also still mind-bendingly handsome at 66. That dude is seriously magic or something.

Really excited to listen to it! Also, of course he's magic - he's Ziggy!

I'm not the biggest Bowie fan, but I am incredibly eager to listen to it.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm scared. Anytime an old musician comes out with something new, I'm terrified of it, because usually, USUALLY, it's not as good as their older work, and I feel like it's gonna make me see them as crap from then on. I mean, the newest album by The Cars was AMAZING, but then the new album by Madonna was total garbage. (The only reason I have ever had a shred of respect for her, is Gogol Bordello. If you don't know Gogol Bordello, I hate you.)

Anyways... What are some songs from the new album? It seems to be getting positive reviews... So I guess I'll give it a listen. But you know. Nothing will EVER beat the Magic Dance!

  7. Don't bother picking out random songs just listen to the whole thing it's well worth it. And besides Bowies latest output has been fantastic. (Heathen anyone?)

And I'll tell you this I'm a hardcore Nick Cave fanboy and The Next Day kicks the everloving shit out of Nick's newest album.

That hurt a bit to type.

This album has been called "The greatest rock comeback album of all time", so I think you're safe. :icon_bigg

I , for one, absolutely loved it. Though I may be a bit biased since I'm a huge Bowie fan. That man is pure sex and his talent...I just can't ever get over him. Plus he did a fan like me a real hot one with the video for The Stars.

I mean really...four of my favorite people ever in one music video. Oh it was just glorious beyond words.

Bowie, Swinton, Pejic, and Saskia. UNF.

Both were so great. I find it really hard to choose a favorite, though. I mean...it's David Bowie!

My favorites so far are Heat, The Stars, I'd Rather be High.

I also loved Plan - a bonus track

I _LOVE_ Bowie. Hunky Dory is one of my favourite albums of all time. I've liked The Next Day thus far. Haven't finished listening to it yet and my memory is quite shitty so I don't remember what it sounds like  Once I listen to it again and more thoroughly I'll be able to form a firmer opinion. But for now I'll just say: liked it, didn't love it.
