'Veronica Mars' movie: Kristen Bell says it's finally happening | Inside TV | EW.com For anyone who loved Veronica Mars, you probably know that for the past 5 years, the creator and Kristen Bell have been trying to get Warner Brothers to give Veronica Mars a farewell movie, since they so abruptly cancelled the show, despite it having a humungous fanbase. Well, Warner Brothers apparently finally agreed - provided fans fund the movie. And in turn, they would fund advertising, marketing, etc. Most people may think that just means "Well, that means no movie." but... you'd be wrong apparently. The creator started a kickstarter (fundraising site) page this morning with a goal of $2,000,000, which would cover all of the expenses, (shooting, actors/actresses, etc.) and a 30 day guideline in which to reach it. As of this post, in the 12 or so hours the campaign has been up, it's already raised $1,835,000. Which pretty much means that the movie is going to happen. Any other Veronica Mars fans insanely happy to hear this? XD I'm actually insanely shocked at how much fans contributed in such a short amount of time. o_o
Filming started last month and ended today, and a sneak peek has been posted. All of the main cast are back, as well.
