Extreme metal

I like extreme metal. Got any recommendations?

 

I love extreme metal

 

I like it but I can't listen to it for too long before it gets annoying

 

metal hurts my ears and give me a head ache tho i wish i could listen to it =(

Some extreme metal is okay. Does Nightwish count as extreme metal?

I hate death metal. People with cheap halloween masks growling into microphones is not my kind of music.

 

Ah ^^ well I like what I've heard of black metal, but don't own any...well aside from Cradle, but their status as Black Metal is debatable.

I listen to some Death, though ^^ Behemoth and early Fear Factory are my ideal sound. I also listen to sweedish death metal, like Soilwork, Darkane and Arch Enemy.

Aside from that, the majority of the metal I listen to is Thrash (early metalica, Lamb of God) and Industrial (Rammstein, Fear Factory, Ministry, and Static X if you want to call them metal).

omg! i thought i was the only one! metal drives me nuts! in fact i will listen to it occasionaly but after a few minutes i start to feel as if the walls r closing in:tears: and my heart is beating in my head!:bang:

Nope, as much as I love Nightwish I just hate how popular they have become. People that don't even like metal listen to them and that angers me. Metal is for people with acquired and matured music tastes, not for everyone!

For your info, Nightwish is Symphonic Metal (its a Symphony orchestra mixed with Metal themes and instrumentals. )

I hate people with their close minded and incorrect views on metal. Seriously everyone says that and they only say that because they've heard someone else say it. The only band I know that wears crappy masks is SlipKnot and they suck ass and are Nu-Metal I believe (no relation to metal)

Do you know why they do the death growls? Theres a reason behind it.

God, as much as I love you Tom, I HATE it when people say Slipknot isn't metal.
Fine Nu-metal, call it what ever you like, but what makes it not metal???
You have the right to despise the band as much as you want but I see everywhere on the net people saying that mainstream metal bands aren't metal... WHY??

lol it is metal but its mixed with rap, hence why metal fans don't count it as metal. =P (unless of course they like it)

I understand where you're coming from though, I hate it when people consider AC/DC just hard rock, I consider it metal. (even if AC/DC call themselves just rock, what do they know?!)
